What is Classical Revolution?

Picture
Classical Revolution is an organization of musicians dedicated to performing high-quality chamber music in non-traditional settings. Classical Revolution began in San Francisco in 2006 and was one of the first shows to take Classical Music out of the concert hall and into bars, cafes, and other non-traditional venues. It has since spread to over 25 cities across the USA, Europe, and further afield.

The London chapter of Classical Revolution launched in March 2012 at The Green Carnation bar in London's Soho district. We have two important objectives: to enrich the Greater London Area with accessible chamber music and to create a support network and regular meeting place for local and visiting international musicians.

Classical Revolution arrives in London at an exciting time, as more and more audiences start to engage with Classical Music through 'alternative' styles of presentation, away from the traditional concert hall. We are committed to creating compelling, high-quality Classical Music experiences for the widest possible audience, and to work towards finding new financial models that facilitate a sustainable, high-level chamber music series.
